Service Description

All are welcome to this group who: -Seek support in living a sober life -Are not sober yet but are interested in becoming sober -Want to share their story -Need support navigating a sober life -Are newly sober and need support Many of us turn to alcohol and *other substances to numb or avoid. We all have stories to justify why we do it. We have all have felt and sometimes still feel alone and like no one understands. Are you ready to take control of your life and release yourself from the power and habits of substance abuse that keep you repeatedly feeling unhappy and dissatisfied with life? We all have the power to change our lives, and I’m here to share ways in which you can tap into your power. You can remove the substance, but the real shift happens when we change our perspective, learn to release the myths we have been told, and finally break free from a prison we put ourselves in. We will hold space for each other in a safe, loving non-judgmental environment.I strongly believe that sharing our unique stories can help us to heal, to release false realities we created and to help us connect to one another. I am passionate about helping people see beyond their addictions and can share tools to help you live in a world that might currently seem too distant or inaccessible to you now. With open arms, love, and acceptance, I welcome you to discover a world unfiltered by substances that dim your inner light. *“Other substances” does not refer to plant medicines, such as marijuana and mushrooms. This group will be led by Monique Riofrio, a certified Himalayan Kundalini yoga teacher and Spiritual Life Coach, who abused alcohol and other substances for over a decade and embarked on her sober journey almost 10 years ago.
