About the event

If you're overworked, overcommitted, and burned out from giving away too much of yourself and managing other people's emotions—you might be suffering from people-pleasing. Join Life Coach Krissy Loveman in her workshop “Deprogramming People-Pleasing” to discover the real reason it feels so difficult to stand up for yourself with willpower alone. You’ll find out how unconscious patterns in your brain and nervous system contribute to the problem, and you’ll learn what to do about it so you can flip the script and take back your power. What is People-Pleasing? Though people-pleasers are natural caretakers and known for their generosity and kindness, they suffer from behavioral and emotional patterns that often manifest as: An obligation to keep others happy Hyper sensitivity to criticism and rejection A burden of responsibility to do everything-all-the-time-all-at-once Anxiety and guilt over disappointing or upsetting people A tendency to avoid conflict and confrontation A habit of conflating their feelings with others’ feelings A sense of purposelessness or deficiency when they don’t feel needed by others Resentment, frustration, and anger when their generosity is not returned People-pleasing is not a personal failure or defect. It’s a set of coping strategies that get “turned on” repetitively based on how one’s nervous system is shaped by the past. But, everyone’s nervous system and brain are neuroplastic—meaning they’re able to learn and change. Understanding the underlying pattern to changing your habits is the secret to reclaiming your power. If you’re ready to confidently set boundaries, speak your guilt-free truth, and prioritize your health and pleasure, join us on Sept 10th 12:30-2:00pm! About Krissy Born and raised in the deep South, Krissy Loveman left behind an oppressive fundamentalist community to find her voice and help other people step into their power. She specializes in rewiring unconscious patterns with a trauma-informed approach.
